Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program or externship, EMT/Paramedic credentials or similar certification, and Michigan MA certification is preferred with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or externship/ internship.
• EMT or Paramedic program completion or certification athletic trainer credentials.
• If credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
