Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering outstanding patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or MA training, and 0-1 year of clinical experience (or 2+ years if training is minimal). We offer day shift, full-time, competitive pay, and a values-driven, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited MA program with externship or internship.
• EMT or Paramedic credentials are considered.
• MA credential options CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC are acceptable.
• Valid CPR certification required.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience, or 2+ years if no MA program completed, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
