Overview

Provides excellent customer service and greets patients entering the department/practice. A multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician and Office Manager or Team Lead.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:1 year-Medical assistant2 years-Two to four years Clerical/customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare-related industry1 year-One year of experience with third-party payors and computer experience for inputting data and reviewing patient demographic material::Certifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required within 6 monthsBasic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hireMedical Terminology Certificate - preferred -within 30 days**Additional Details**Requirement of having completed an MA program that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, a national or state medical association, or an agency approved by the board.
