Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an advanced medical assistant training program or a CMA credential.
• Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Ability to work some Saturdays.
• Strong commitment to high-quality healthcare and respectful patient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and explain what to expect during their visit.
• Gather and document relevant medical and social history.
• Measure and document vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during exams and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and approved waived laboratory tests.
• Administer medications within scope of practice and training.
• Educate patients about available services and funding resources.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies and safety standards.
• Respond to patient calls and schedule appointments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient registration, medical records, and billing information.
