Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio seeks a mission-driven Medical Assistant for the Rocky River Health Center, full-time, 37.5 hours/week. This role provides compassionate clinical assistance, patient education, and administrative support, preparing patients for visits and assisting with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be organized, respectful, and capable of discussing sensitive healthcare matters, with strong communication and a commitment to high-quality reproductive healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an advanced medical assistant training program or CMA credential.
• Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Ability to work some Saturdays.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and explain what to expect during visits.
• Document medical and social history.
• Measure vital signs and document measurements.
• Assist clinicians during exams and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and approved waived lab tests.
• Provide patient education on services, contraception, funding, and follow-up needs.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies and safety standards.
