Job description

Exciting New Opportunity: Medical Assistant (Full-Time, 0.6 FTE)

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, LPN) for our new Urgent Care Department. This is a part-time position (24 hours/week) with no previous experience or certification required, provided you meet the outlined requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing patients and documenting medical history
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Reviewing annual wellness questionnaires
• Administering immunizations
• Monitoring messages and relaying responses from clinicians
• Entering laboratory service orders

Required Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification optional) or current LPN license (WI required)
• Effective communication skills, teamwork, and positive interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one year of medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinical setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, tact, and diplomacy
• Compassionate and caring approach in patient interactions
• Ability to educate patients effectively
• Quick learner with good retention of patient care procedures
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
• Calmness under stress
• Experience with EPIC software is a plus
