Qualifications

Job description

This position provides clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care. You will assist clinicians and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients and document medical history
  • Take vitals and record findings in patient charts
  • Review annual wellness questionnaires with appropriate patients
  • Administer immunizations
  • Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone
  • Enter orders for laboratory services
Required Qualifications:
  • Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (with or without certification), current LPN license (WI), or EMT license from an accredited program
  • Effective communication skills, teamwork, and positive interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinic (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tact, and diplomacy
  • Compassion and caring in all interactions
  • Understanding of patient education needs and ability to share information effectively
  • Ability to learn and retain patient care procedures
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks
  • Remain calm in stressful situations
  • Experience with EPIC (preferred)
