Position Summary

The Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties to support the assigned area or office. Reports to: Director of Physician Services.

Essential Functions

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision of physician or nurse.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care activities.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently. Must handle stressful environments effectively and take appropriate actions.
