Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative duties. The role includes handling patient calls, portal messages, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

The candidate should have basic medical terminology knowledge, familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations, and may hold multiple CMA-related certifications. PRN benefits include wellbeing reimbursement funds and 403(b) contribution eligibility.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations required.
• 2 years of experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative duties.
• Maintain patient records accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Field patient phone calls and voicemails in a timely, professional manner.
• Address patient portal and EHR messages through drop box within established timeframes.
• Communicate with the clinical care team as needed.
