Job summary

The ideal candidate has CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA MAC certifications and 2 years of relevant experience, with clinical and administrative proficiency and a commitment to HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, equipment and HIPAA/Osha rules.
• 2 years of experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant from recognized bodies.

Responsibilities

• Fields patient calls and voicemails promptly in a professional manner.
• Addresses portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Communicates with providers or team members regarding questions.
• Receives and processes refill requests per workflow guidelines.
• Routes requests to provider when needed with complete information.
• Manages provider portal messages and keeps the EHR organized.
