Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Glenview clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine. This full-time, dayshift role supports physicians, nurses, and staff to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, assisting with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing, while ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management. Must be certified and capable of travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in CMA or equivalent within six months of start, per onboarding rules.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Zero to two years’ experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by preparing exam rooms and documenting patient information.
• Assist with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Maintain supplies, clean exam rooms, and monitor inventory.
• Coordinate with care team and communicate with patients professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
