Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Glenview's Multi Specialty clinic is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You will support physicians, nurses, and staff by facilitating patient flow and performing clinical and administrative tasks.

You will prepare exam rooms, assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and lab testing according to protocol. The role emphasizes professional patient interactions, confidentiality, and adherence to clinic policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assures efficient patient flow through the site: escort to exam room, identify patient, obtain vital signs, and prepare for examination.
• Assist practitioner with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing as directed by Provider.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms, disinfect equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain clean, safe patient care areas.
• Interact professionally with patients and care team; provide supportive assistance and effective communication.
• Perform delegated procedures common to the specialty area as appropriate and handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.
