We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, as well as performing administrative tasks to support our clinic operations.

Job Description

As the Certified Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for:

Identifying the best method for blood collection based on patient needs and medical orders.

Explaining the blood drawing process to patients and preparing them for the procedure.

Using sterile techniques to prepare the collection site and draw blood from the patient.

Maintaining accurate records of blood draws and patient information.

Following safety protocols and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of disease.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in our electronic health records system.

Coordination and scheduling of appointments.

Collecting and processing Labs.

Perform Covid testing.

What to Expect

In this role, you can expect to:

Provide support to Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine medical procedures.

Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, charting, and inventory management.

Downloading lab results and emailing them to patients.

Provide the highest level of customer service.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who has:

High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant / Certified Phlebotomy Technician program required.

2+ years of experience in a medical assistant role, with experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in electronic health records systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Expected Compensation

$23+/ hourly rate + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
