Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Gather and document information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications.
  • Contribute to the assessment and re-assessment of patients.
  • Monitor and document patient status.
  • Participate in developing and evaluating the plan of care, including medication administration (excluding narcotics).
  • Manage large call volumes while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Organize workflow to meet patient needs promptly; adhere to National Governing Board and Patient Safety Goals as needed.
  • May retrieve and transport medications.

Reports to the assigned director, manager, supervisor, or lead. This position may have additional physical demand or respiratory fit test requirements. Moderate exposure to hazards, including infections, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Follow standard precautions.

Qualifications
  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration, or 6 months of clinic MA experience, or successful completion of the INTEGRIS Health Caregiver Placement Program (CPP).
  • 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written).

For positions requiring intraday travel, ability to operate INTEGRIS or personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
