The Cook Children's Medical Center Cardiology-Outpatient Clinic in Fort Worth is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers in ambulatory care. You will assist in preparing and delivering patient care per established policies, following the nursing process, and emphasize excellent customer relations.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma and completion of an accredited MA program or current MA certification, with BLS at minimum.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited MA school OR current MA certification required.
• Prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting.
• Flexible and willing to float to multiple clinic locations as needed.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm

Education and Experience

• High School diploma required.
• Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.
• Prior medical assistant experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting.
• Flexible and willing to float to multiple clinic locations as needed.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.
