Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cln-Gastro (GI) ambulatory clinic. The role supports physicians and advanced practice providers in patient care, preparing and delivering ambulatory services while upholding departmental policies and delivering excellent customer relations.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience taking and accurately documenting vital signs
• Experience updating patient information in the electronic medical record
• Experience rooming patients in a clinical setting

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.
