Job summary

Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (Back Office) to support physicians and staff. You will take vitals, document procedures, manage patient flow, and assist with exams and phlebotomy as needed.

The role requires excellent customer service, ability to lift 25 lbs, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic. Prior MA diploma and experience are preferred; training provided for workflow with exam rooms and clinical duties.

Qualifications

• MA diploma from an accredited program or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or training in medical reception/clerical work
• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems and practice software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Take patients' vitals and record accurately
• Review health information and ensure accuracy of data
• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Maintain clinic flow and assist with scheduling and phlebotomy as needed
• Ensure labs and imaging orders are correctly documented
