Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist with exams, vitals, injections, blood draws and front-office tasks while maintaining patient flow and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completed an approved MA program, and national certification. Proficiency with EMR/EHR is essential, and duties may include minor laboratory tasks and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• National Certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) preferred or required.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR and medical office procedures.
• Ability to perform basic clinical tasks and front-office duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• Maintain front-office flow, scheduling, and patient sign-in.
• Familiarity with COLA/CLIA lab processes and LIS entry.
