Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. The role combines clinical support (assisting with exams, patient vitals, injections, med administration) and front office duties (patient flow, charges, signatures).

Flexibility to cover weekends is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed an accredited MA program or appropriate national certification, and be proficient in EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Alternatively completed an unapproved MA program and national certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).
• For other states, similar requirements plus potential experience or verifiable hours as instructed by Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and procedures, including patient vitals, under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and Provider direction.
• Perform blood draws and may collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and sports physicals; assist with wound care and oxygen delivery.
• Ensure EMR/EHR proficiency and support front office as needed.
