Job summary

Community Health Network is hiring a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams. You will assist providers during visits and procedures, handle routine labs, referrals, and quality outcomes, and participate in network quality initiatives.

Ideal candidates have MA training or equivalent HS + experience, certification within 6 months, and strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program or have a HS diploma/GED with MA experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider with patient visits and procedures at an ambulatory site.
• Facilitate routine laboratory tests and referrals and support quality outcomes.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage patient flow for the provider's caseload.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection as needed.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Process referrals and medication refills and maintain positive patient/ staff relationships.
