Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support an ambulatory care site. You will prepare exam rooms, room patients, collect vital signs and specimens, and document care in EPIC EMR while supporting referrals and medication refills.

You will work with providers and staff to maintain smooth patient flow and deliver high-quality care. Prior MA graduates or HS diploma with MA experience are welcome; certification within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or certificate in medical assisting, or HS diploma with 1 year MA experience.
• Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use, including cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

Medical Assistant certificate

HS diploma/GED + 1 year MA experience
