Job Summary:

Schamburg Immediate Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois, on a full-time basis. This position reports to the Director of Medical Services and is primarily responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality healthcare services to our patients. As a Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives by providing support and care.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in delivering healthcare services to patients in primary care and immediate care settings.
2. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
3. Administer medication as directed by the physician.
4. Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
5. Perform basic lab tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring.
6. Monitor patients for changes in health status and report concerns to the physician or Director of Medical Services.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
8. Educate patients and caregivers on medication administration and healthcare instructions.
9. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
