Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA/RMA/CMA/LPN/EMT)
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Supervisor of Clinic Services
Summary/Objectives
Performs a variety of patient care activities and administrative responsibilities for clinic patients and physicians following established standards and practices.
Essential Functions
- Manage an efficient, organized clinical flow at all office locations.
- Manage clinic schedules and communicate any scheduling issues with the supervisor.
- Prepare the clinic prior to scheduled dates, organizing pertinent information for efficient flow.
- Enter X-ray orders according to provider protocols.
- Stock exam rooms before and after clinics to ensure availability of supplies and forms.
- Complete the rooming process, gathering patient information to prepare for exams.
- Assist providers during patient exams as needed, including dressing changes and suture/staple removal.
- Enter all patient orders as directed and fax according to protocol.
- Schedule patient appointments as needed.
- Understand interdepartmental workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in developing protocols, policies, and procedures for Patient Coordinators.
- Assist with compliance to regulatory agencies and proper documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive to various clinic sites; must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Required Education and Experience
- Must have at least one of the following:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (for MA, RMA, CMA roles).
- Current Registration through AAMA (for RMA).
- Current Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA (for CMA).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current LPN license (for LPN).
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program with current EMT license (for EMT).
- Current BLS/CPR certification for health professionals.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions.
- Knowledge of spine and neurological conditions is preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Two years' experience in a specialty healthcare clinic.
