Qualifications

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team and contribute to the exceptional care we provide.

Position Overview:

As a Medical Assistant at Keystone Pain Consultants, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical practice. You will assist physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. You will work directly with patients, supporting them throughout their care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examination, and take vitals (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
  • Assist with patient intake, including updating medical histories and reviewing medications.
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, treatments, and follow-up care.

Clinical Support:

  • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for patient use.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits, including follow-up care.
  • Handle patient phone calls, provide information, and relay messages to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and complete.

Patient Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other confidentiality guidelines.
  • Assist with managing patient flow and ensuring timely care delivery.
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent education required.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) is preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
