Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is currently hiring a Medical Assistant!

Position Location: Southside and Peninsula

Position Status: Flexi, Days

Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8hr, 10hr, or 12hr shifts as needed

The Float Pool position will require travel in the Southside and Peninsula.

Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks based on training, education, and competency evaluations, under the supervision of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, RNs, or LPNs.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Work Shift: Days (First shift)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
• Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic certification (Required)
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
• Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
