Job description

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow of the office, providing support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures—before, during, and after. You would also ensure that patients receive excellent service. This role functions as a receptionist to support patient flow and overall clinic operations.

This position works in four Miami-area clinics, and some Saturday shifts are required.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with form completion as needed.
2. Become familiar with clinic computer hardware and software, using them according to company policies.
3. Ensure patient needs are met at all times and all questions are answered.
4. Maintain procedure rooms in a neat and ready state at all times.
5. Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures, following instructions and individual doctor preferences.
6. Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
7. Provide post-procedure instructions and medication information to patients as needed.
8. Monitor and replenish supply levels as necessary.
9. Apply sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
10. Prepare IV solutions.
11. Train new staff as needed.
12. Assist ultrasound staff as needed.
13. Perform receptionist duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing.
14. Work various hours and overtime as required.
15. Flexibility to work at any of the four clinics as scheduled.

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Must be able to commute to Hallandale, Hialeah, and Tamarac locations.
