Samuel-U.-Rodgers-Health-Center in Liberty, MO seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. You will greet patients of all ages, record vital signs and medical history, and prepare exam rooms while assisting providers during examinations and procedures.

Responsibilities include administering medications and vaccines, processing refills, performing basic lab tests, maintaining accurate EHR documentation, sterilizing instruments, and supporting front office duties.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an AS in MA.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and approved abbreviations.
• Current BLS from AHA or Red Cross, in process is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, obtain vitals and medical history.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and proper specimen handling.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and charting.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a sanitary environment.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and front office duties.
• Educate patients and provide follow-up care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
