Job summary

Dayton Gastroenterology, part of One GI, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Englewood, OH clinic. You will measure vitals, assist physicians, manage referrals and prescriptions, and support scheduling and patient care in a fast-paced gastroenterology setting.

Candidates should have MA experience, medical terminology knowledge, and a BLS/CPR certification. We offer strong benefits, generous PTO, and opportunities for education reimbursement and internal growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs (weight, BP, pulse, temperature) and document in patient chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis as applicable.
• Obtain, verify and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits and emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by the physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by the physician.
• Answer patient questions and notify test results.
• Assist with scheduling visits, procedures, labs, X-rays, and hospital admissions.
