Job summary

One GI is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinic in Beavercreek, OH. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Medical Assistant, knowledge of medical terminology, and required BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology is essential.
• Experience in a medical office environment is preferred.

• Assist the physician during office visits, including emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions and referrals as directed.

Position Summary

We are looking for a full‑time Medical Assistant to work at our clinic located at 75 Sylvania Drive, Beavercreek, OH. Must have previous experience working as a Medical Assistant, knowledge of medical terminology, and an American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

Daily Duties

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits, including emergency assistance.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions and notify patients of test results.
• Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x‑rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions, and appointments as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
