Job summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia in Wilmington, DE is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians, perform vital signs, EKGs, and stress testing, and help with scheduling and patient flow.

Role requires a certified/registered MA, 2–3 years experience, and EMR familiarity. Training will involve travel to Chester County offices until completion. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant.
• BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
• 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Familiarity with cardiology procedures such as stress tests, Warfarin management, and Holter monitors is a plus.
• Proficient multitasking and computer knowledge; EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with an assigned physician daily.
• Escort patients to the exam room.
• Record medical information, review medications, and obtain vital signs.
• Perform stress testing and EKGs.
• Follow up on lab results and schedule appointments.
• Answer phones and assist with check-in/out procedures.

CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for full-time Medical Assistants to work at our new Wilmington, DE office. Please note that this will require traveling to other offices in Chester County until training is complete.

Please note this role is entitled to a $500 sign-on bonus.*

Responsibilities

• Work with an assigned physician daily
• Escort patients to the exam room
• Record medical information, review medications, and obtain vital signs
• Perform stress testing and EKGs
• Follow up on lab results
• Answer phones and assist with check-in/out procedures if necessary
• Assist with appointment scheduling
• Review and prepare the next day's assignments
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant
• B LS preferred through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Familiarity with various cardiology-related procedures such as stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, and Holter monitors are a plus
• Must have the ability to multitask
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Experience with an EMR system is a plus
• Must be well-spoken, friendly, and outgoing
