Job description

Hourly Wage Estimate: $17.44 - $25.30 / hour

Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays.

Seeking a Medical Assistant who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The team works collaboratively and is looking for an individual who shares our commitment to patient care.

What you will do in this role
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
  • OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • OR current Medical Assistant certification
  • Must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire if not already certified.
  • Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials highly preferred.
