Position Overview
Full time (Monday - Friday, days). No nights, no on‑call, no weekends, no holidays. Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high‑quality, efficient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, and sterilization.
- Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
- Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen referrals.
Qualifications
- One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient‑care experience in a healthcare setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Certification required. Acceptable certifications: RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ABR‑OE.
- Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain certification within 60 days of employment.
- Candidates with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date.
