Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Bedford, NH is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift, Monday–Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays. The role provides clinical support to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting with exams and minor procedures, injections and phlebotomy, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies while coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required or must obtain within specified timeframe.

  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies, including sterilization.
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.

What you will do in this role
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referral
What Qualifications you will need
  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Certification / License

Medical Assistant Certification required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification, or ABR-OE credentials.

Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.

Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire date.
