Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide essential clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced office. You will assist physicians, prepare patients for exams, and document in the EMR across multiple locations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program (or 1+ year experience), and strong communication skills. CMA/RMA preferred; travel to local offices may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting).
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Job description

The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures.

Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• $20 - $22/hr based on experience
