• Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred).
• Medical Assistant Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physician-directed orders for medication refills, laboratory tests, and diagnostic services.
• Obtain, verify, and document patient medical histories.
• Submit required patient information for insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Perform front desk duties: patient check-in and check-out.
• Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for visits.
• Maintain documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinical documentation.
• Manage patient communications by phone.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Work collaboratively with providers and front desk team.
• Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of medical records.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate physician-directed orders for medication refills, laboratory tests, and diagnostic services

Obtain, verify, and accurately document patient medical histories

Collect and submit required patient information for insurance verification and prior authorizations

Perform front desk duties, including patient check-in and check-out

Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)

Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinical documentation

Manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications with patients

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and office staff

Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk team members

Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of medical records

Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)

Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred)
