Job description

At Columbus Oncology and Hematology Associates (COHA), our mission is to improve the lives of those living with cancer and blood disorders. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our medical assistant team to help us achieve this mission.

Qualifications:
  • Medical Assistant Experience: Two Years
  • Certified Medical Assistant in Ohio preferred
  • BLS Certification
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
Essential Duties:
  • Room patients and obtain vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care
  • Maintain patient records' confidentiality
  • Prepare lab and radiology reports and acquire lab and x-ray reports
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergent situations per protocols
  • Maintain work area, exam rooms, and supplies
  • Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures
