Job description

Our Client, a Primary Care Service company, is looking for a Medical Assistant for their Chandler, AZ location.

Responsibilities :

1. Provide technical support to patients, assist with registration, answer questions in person and over the phone, including outreach.
2. Train local teams on registration and support technology system transitions.
3. Capture relevant health information during patient rooming, taking vitals, administering point-of-care tests, and performing age-appropriate screening assessments.
4. Assist with post-visit care coordination, including scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and sharing information with care teams.
5. Collaborate with providers to monitor patient health and ensure preventive measures are up to date.
6. Participate in daily practice operations, such as answering phones, responding to emails, front desk inquiries, and maintaining the clinical space.
7. Provide patient education on chronic disease management and coach using motivational interviewing techniques.
8. Offer preventive guidance to families, establishing healing relationships.

Requirements :

• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare customer service or patient-facing role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in diverse, feedback-driven multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to change, think forward, and proactively address challenges.
• Proficiency with computers, including typing, internet navigation, mobile apps, and multiple software systems.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) or relevant military training.
• OR Medical Assistant certification from recognized organizations such as AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHC.
