Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant to support our Health Center in Bowling Green, KY. The role includes patient interviews, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures while coordinating front-desk tasks and supply management.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy skills, EMR experience, and MA certification. This position offers flexible hours (15 hours/week) with potential for additional shifts and competitive benefits through Premise Health.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or Certificate/Diploma with hands-on externship completed
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification from recognized bodies (SC or equivalent)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records and ensures they are up-to-date
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections, performs lab tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, follows up with calls, orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Part Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Bowling Green, KY. The scheduled hours are 15 hours per week, Monday, 7am-4pm and Wednesday, 7am-1pm. Opportunity to work additional hours. Strong Phlebotomy skills and EMR experience required. Previous primary care or outpatient experience a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
