Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support employee health at our Bristol, TN Health Center. The role runs 34 hours per week with a schedule across mornings and early afternoons.

You will perform phlebotomy, assist at the front desk, and support high-volume patient care with attention to accurate records. Responsibilities include vital signs, injections, labs, EKGs, and coordinated administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant with hands-on externship is required or CMA/MA certs.
• Current BLS/CPR or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• CMA certification or equivalent certifying body approved by the board is required (SC exception).

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain accurate patient health records and ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage supplies.
• Administer medications including injections; perform labs and operate EKGs as allowed.
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, handle calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As aFull Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Bristol, TN. The scheduled hours are 34 hours per week, Monday & Wednesday, 7am-6pm, Tuesday & Thursday, 7am-1pm, and Friday, 7-11am. Enjoy great work/life balance while using your strong phlebotomy and front desk skills. This role includes a high volume of blood draws. Occupational health and Epic experience a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only, must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only) .
