Premise Health Inc. in Morristown, TN seeks a Part Time Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front desk duties in our Health Center. Hours are 24 per week: Mon, Wed, Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm.

The role emphasizes phlebotomy skills and patient care in a fast-paced setting. You'll interview patients, record vital signs, maintain health records, prepare rooms, assist with procedures, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and phone follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills required.
• National certification in Medical Assisting from Premise Health approved organization.
• Hands-on externship completed; online courses only not accepted.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Maintains patient health records with accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments.
• Administers meds including injections and performs approved lab tests.
• Operates EKGs and diagnostic equipment as allowed by state regs.
• Performs front desk duties and schedules appointments.

As a Part Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Morristown, TN. The scheduled hours are 24 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm. This position will support both clinical and administrative/front desk duties. Must have strong phlebotomy skills.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only, must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only) .
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
