Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and entering information into the EMR, among other duties.

A minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic is preferred, with a $1500 sign-on bonus available for select positions through Dec 31, 2026. We offer competitive benefits and a mission-driven work environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals.
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR).
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during patient examination.
• Taking pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients.
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS).
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology.
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms.
• Ordering clinical supplies.
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms.
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid‑portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
