Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Inc. is recruiting for a Medical Assistant / Medical Office Specialist in Glen Burnie, MD. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, entering data into the EMR, assisting with procedures, and supporting clinic operations.

A $1500 sign-on bonus is available for select positions through December 31, 2026. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of MA or EMT-Paramedic experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patientsMaintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
