Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical teams, room patients, obtain vitals, and document information in the EMR. You will help set up procedures, chaperone exams, and maintain exam rooms to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals.
• Enter patient information into EMR.
• Set up and assist with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during patient examinations.
• Take pre- and post-operative photos when applicable.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and speacial instruments.
• Process surgical specimens and transport to Pathology.
• Order clinical supplies and assist with forms as needed.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals


• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)


• Setting up and assisting with office procedures


• Chaperone providers during patient examination


• Taking pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients


• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)


• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology


• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms


• Ordering clinical supplies


• Completing FMLA and Disability forms


• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED


• A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
