Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Maryland. You will room patients, take vitals and enter data into the EMR, and assist with office procedures. The role supports providers during exams and helps maintain a smooth patient flow.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; one year of MA or EMT-Paramedic experience is preferred. Travel to satellite locations is required. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for select positions through 2026.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals
• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patients
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
