Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our care team in Maryland. You will room patients, take vitals, and document in the EMR, while supporting routine office procedures and specimen handling. A sign-on bonus may apply for select positions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtaining vitals


• Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)


• Setting up and assisting with office procedures


• Chaperone providers during patient examination


• Taking pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients


• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)


• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology


• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms


• Ordering clinical supplies


• Completing FMLA and Disability forms


• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED


• A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
