Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore is hiring a Medical Assistant I (Float) to support physicians and care teams across departments. The role includes assisting MD/NP/PA, preparing patients, and operating and calibrating clinical equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of MA or EMT-Paramedic experience, and strong English communication. CPR preferred; familiarity with Meditech/Epic and Microsoft Office is helpful.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant I demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MAI demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
