Mercy Medical Center, Inc. in Maryland is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team. Room patients, obtain vitals, enter information into EMR, and assist with office procedures.

Chaperone providers during patient examinations and help with pre-op and post-op tasks. Maintain instruments and support CSS and Pathology workflows. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience as Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals.
• Enter patient information into the EMR.
• Set up and assist with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during patient examination.
• Take pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients.
• Maintain surgical instruments and transport instruments to Central Sterile (CSS).
• Process surgical specimens and transport to Pathology.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms.
• Order clinical supplies.
• Complete FMLA and Disability forms.
• Clean and reset exam rooms.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and assisting with office procedures
• Chaperone providers during patient examination
• Taking pre‑op and post‑op photos of patients
• Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
• Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
• Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Completing FMLA and Disability forms
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
