Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Part-Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Appleton, WI. The position supports care for Kwik Trip employees and dependents, with scheduled hours across Mon, Tue, Thu, and Fri shifts.

The ideal candidate holds national MA certification or a recognized CMA and BLS/CPR cert, and has prior MA experience. The role includes vital signs, medical records, room preparation, injections, labs, EKGs, and front desk support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on externship completed (preferred)
• BLS/CPR certification required (AHA/ARC or equivalent)
• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records with accuracy
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections and performs lab tests
• Operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks at front desk and schedules appointments

As a Part Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to our client's employees and their dependents of Kwik Trip in our Health Center located in Appleton, WI.

Schedule

• Part-Time 26 Hours Per Week
• Mon & Tue 8:00 am - 3:00 pm; Thu 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
