Job summary

Premise Health in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support our on-site Health Center, providing patient care with a Monday–Friday 7AM–4PM schedule.

You will interview patients, record vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, assist with labs and injections, and support front desk duties while delivering high‑quality care. Certification requirements and benefits are described in the posting.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Knoxville, TN. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 7AM-4PM. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends while working in a fast-paced clinic where you’ll stay engaged and make an impact each day.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
