Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Specialist in Evansville, IN to help individuals access Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF. You will review applications, determine eligibility, educate clients on requirements, and support them through enrollment.

This role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and compliance with program rules. You will handle high-volume calls, process applications, and maintain cases in the state eligibility system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Indiana Eligibility Program preferred.
• Ability to handle complex inquiries via telephone.
• Accurate data entry (40 keystrokes/min).
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assess, and screen applications; collect missing information.
• Validate income, assess eligibility, and manage case referrals.
• Engage daily with program participants.
• Educate clients on program services and prerequisites.
• Collaborate with clients to achieve program objectives.
• Fulfill duties delegated by Management.
